Try this awesome quesadilla technique that involves strategically slicing and folding a tortilla around four different ingredients starting with Johnsonville Smoked Sausage Links, pepper-Jack cheese, garden fresh tomatoes and sliced pickled jalapenos or avocado.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 package (14 ounces) JOHNSONVILLE Jalapeno and Cheddar or Beddar with Cheddar Smoked Sausage Links, grilled according to package directions and cut into coin-slice pieces
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 8 slices pepper-Jack cheese
  • 4 burrito size tortillas
  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • Sliced jalapenos or guacamole (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each tortilla. Cut each tortilla from the center to the outer edge.
  3. Turn butter side down. Using the cut as a guide, place each ingredient onto a quarter of the tortilla. Top a quarter of the tortilla with the tomatoes, another quarter with sausage, top sausage with a slice of cheese, another quarter with jalapenos or guacamole and remaining quarter with cheese.
  4. Starting at one of the quarters that border the cut, fold the tortilla up. Fold the tortilla across the top. Fold the tortilla down to finish the tortilla fold.
  5. Grill for 6-8 minutes or until golden.
