Cooking Instructions

  1. Cook sausage according to package directions. Cool slightly; cut into ¼-inch coin-slice pieces.
  2. In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, layer half English muffin cubes and half sausage pieces; repeat layers.
  3. Drizzle with butter and sprinkle with the cheese, onion and red pepper.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour over casserole; with sprinkle with bacon.
  5. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  6. Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Uncover and bake at 350˚F for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
