Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 package (9.6 ounces) JOHNSONVILLE Country Recipe Smoked Breakfast Sausage , cut into bias-slice pieces
  • 1 bunch asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • ¾ cup chopped sweet red bell peppers
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • 1-1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 12 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a skillet, sauté the sausage, asparagus, mushrooms, red bell peppers and shallots in olive oil over medium heat until sausage is browned and vegetables are crisp-tender.
  3. Spoon into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish; sprinkle with cheese.
  4. In a bowl, combine the eggs, sour cream, heavy cream, salt and pepper. Pour egg mixture over cheese.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until set.
