Illuminating Project Shines First Award on Johnsonville

Company also celebrates 34 female leaders as part of The Illuminating Women Project recognition

Sheboygan Falls, Wis. – The Illuminating Project, LLC founder, Juliane Troicki, recently presented Johnsonville with the first Illuminating Award for Excellence in Employee Appreciation.

The Illuminating Award recognizes companies for creating a strong culture that focuses on their employee’s development and well-being.  According to Troicki, “Johnsonville stands out for recognizing their Members’ (employee) contributions, celebrating their individual talents and characteristics, nurturing a supportive and caring work environment, and providing abundant opportunities for growth and development.”

Troicki presented the award after being inspired while interviewing 34 women at Johnsonville as part of the Illuminating Women Project that Johnsonville sponsored, to shine a light on the company’s female leaders in the community and workplaces. “In working directly with Johnsonville and their Members, I saw their remarkable culture in action,” Troicki said.  “They truly value their Members and use their business to build their people. This award is a testament to Johnsonville’s exceptional culture and values.”

Johnsonville held a reception at its headquarters to honor the 34 women across the company’s international business who were nominated by their coworkers for the Illuminating Women Project recognition. Troicki, in collaboration with Laura Schneider of Studio L Photography, interviewed the Johnsonville nominees and featured their story and professional photo in a gallery.

Johnsonville Owner and Chairwoman Shelly Stayer sponsored the Illuminating Women Project at the company because she wanted to shine a spotlight on the many women who are driving forces in the company. “This was a great opportunity to say, ‘thank you,’ in a meaningful way to these unsung heroes who are making an impact not only in our family-owned company but also in the meat industry and in their communities,” said Stayer. “This project was a great way to truly celebrate their accomplishments.”
