Collaboration is powerful.
And bright, in Sheboygan County!
Johnsonville, along with dozens of other local employers, was nominated for a couple of local awards in the “Working Together” category, during the annual Sheboygan Chamber of Commerce gala.
Congratulations and thanks go to the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC), for its leadership and collaboration in The Forward Fund partnership.
Johnsonville, Kohler Co., Masters Gallery, Sargento and Sheboygan County were recognized for its work forming The Forward Fund. At the chamber gala, the Forward Fund Partnership captured the award in the “Working Together” category.
The four companies and county contributed $10M total to start the partnership and eventually build 200+ single-family homes across Sheboygan County. Currently, 27 different county employers have families living in the first subdivision in Sheboygan Falls, called Founders’ Pointe.
About the Forward Fund
The Forward Fund was developed to increase housing available for talent recruitment efforts and to address the lack of entry-level homes available to workers seeking to live and work in Sheboygan County. Two additional subdivisions are in the works in Sheboygan Falls and Plymouth.
