We believe you have a right to know about information that we collect and how we use it. We collect information about you in a variety of ways, as described below. Information You Directly Provide to Us. To provide you with the best possible product and experience, we may collect personal information that is willingly provided by you while using or interacting with our Site, such as your name, mailing address, email address and other information you choose to provide to us. For example, if you choose to sign up for our newsletter or the Enthusiast Club, we will collect your name, email address, mailing address, and your social media information (if you choose to sign up using your social media account). If you choose to apply for a job at Johnsonville, we will collect your employment-related information, such as job history and references.

Categories of personal information we collect. The types of personal information we obtain about you depends on how you interact with us. If you use a product review board on our website, you should be aware that any information you share is visible to other users. Personal information you submit to one of these forums can be read, collected, or used by other individuals. We strongly encourage you not to provide any personal information in this type of environment. Additionally, we are not responsible for the personal information you choose to submit in these forums. Information We Get From Third Parties. From time to time, we receive information about individuals from our third-party service providers, affiliates, and partners (including analytics and social media partners). For example, we may receive information on our email campaigns from our third-party service providers, including whether you have read an email sent by us or on our behalf, forwarded an email, and when and how many times you have opened an email. We may also receive information from third party analytics on our websites that allow us to improve our Site.

Cookies. Like most websites, Johnsonville.com uses cookies to improve your experience and provide better Sites. You can opt out by clicking on the unsubscribe link in our online marketing communications. In addition, each email you receive from the Enthusiast Club will offer you the opportunity to cancel or “opt-out” of the Johnsonville Enthusiast Club email list. Please provide us with your exact name and address, and we’ll promptly remove your information.  

Rights. You may have certain rights relating to your personal information based on local laws. Depending on where you live and subject to certain exceptions, you may have the following rights:

Only you, or a person that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child. If you are making a request on behalf of another person, you must provide written legal documentation that you are authorized to act on behalf of that individual. The verifiable consumer request must: 

• Provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom it collected personal information or an authorized representative; and 

• Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it. 

We may not be able to fulfill your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. To verify your identity, we may request up to three pieces of personal information about you, and we reserve the right to take additional steps as necessary to verify your identity if we have reason to believe a request is fraudulent. If you do not agree with how we responded to your request, you may ask us to review our decision by contacting us through the above noted methods. 

Response Timing and Format 

We try to respond to a verifiable consumer request within 45 days of receipt. If we require more time (up to 90 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. We will deliver the written response by mail or electronically, at your option. The response we provide will also explain the reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable. For data portability requests, we will select a format to provide your personal information that is readily useable and should allow you to transmit the information from one entity to another entity without hindrance.  

Children’s Policy  

Johnsonville recognizes the privacy interests of children, and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information and otherwise comply with the requirements of any applicable law including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. If you believe someone under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, Johnsonville asks that you contact us through the methods described below.
